Born and bred a Gator, Ms. Berens is originally from Gainesville, FL. She grew up in a household devoted to medicine and knew that this as well would be her niche. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2011 with her Bachelors in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. She then worked as a medical assistant prior to starting her Physician Assistant Masters at Nova Southeastern University – Orlando Campus. Upon finishing this program at the end of 2014, she then started here at Accent Endocrinology in January 2015 and focuses on management of Diabetes Mellitus (Type 1 and 2), Thyroid Disorders, Osteopenia and Osteoporosis, along with other Endocrine Disorders both in our outpatient facility and inpatient at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Ms. Berens enjoys building foundations with her patients to allow for more individualized care and during her free time, spends time with family and friends. Her hobbies include running, exercising, golfing, shooting, cooking, and traveling whenever able. She thanks you for allowing her the privilege of participating in your care.
